Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Sliders

 

Ingredients:

 

3 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
2 Cloves Garlic, minced
1/2 Cup chopped Onion
1/2 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
1 tbs. Ground or Fresh Ginger
1/8 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1/4 Cup cold Water
3 Tbs Cornstarch
(optional: Green onions/sesame seeds)

3 Tbs Cornstarch

Instructions:

1. Add the chicken breasts to the bottom of your slow cooker. //2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the garlic, onion, honey, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, ginger and black pepper. //3. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover your slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through. //4. Once cooked through, shred with two forks. Pour the leftover sauce into a saucepan. //5. In a bowl, mix the water and cornstarch until the lumps are gone. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan with the sauce and bring to a boil and until the sauce has thickened. //6. Remove from heat and coat the chicken thoroughly with the sauce. //7. Serve over rice or on a bun!
